Changing Face of Mortality Risk in the US |
||
A Milliman, Inc. Report Commissioned by the LIFE Foundation While mortality rates in the U.S. have decreased since the 1970s, the risk of premature death is still significant. More than 550,000 Americans between the ages of 25 and 64 die each year. To raise awareness of the important role that life insurance plays in helping Americans guard against the financial consequences of premature death, LIFE commissioned the consulting firm Milliman, Inc. to conduct an analysis of mortality risk, both present and past. On this webpage, you’ll find a Fact Sheet that highlights the report’s main findings as well as the report in its entirety. If you have questions regarding the findings, please contact Jim Edwards, LIFE’s vice president of Communications at jedwards@lifehappens.org. |
