Pam K. El is marketing vice president at State Farm corporate headquarters in Bloomington, Ill. She joined State Farm in 2002 as assistant vice president – Advertising, was promoted to vice president – Marketing in 2004, and assumed her current position in 2007. She also serves as chair of State Farm’s Brand Council.

El has more than 30 years of marketing, advertising, on-line and brand management expertise, and had previously worked for various companies, including The Martin Agency, US WEST, and Terabeam. She has been named one of Advertising Women of New York’s (AWNY) “Changing the Game” award winners by AdWeek, and “Marketing Executive of the Year” in 2008 by Target Market News.

In addition to serving as a member of the LIFE Foundation Board, EL is also on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, is a board member of the LeBron James Family Foundation and is an alumna and board member of the Women’s Leadership Institute of Denver.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, El and her husband, Bill Bey, live in Bloomington, Ill.
